Social Media Manager

The Social Media Manager (SMM) is responsible for managing agency accounts from strategy to execution, but at the very core this is a creative writing role. This position works in alignment with our media relations team on integrated campaigns that support clients in achieving their goals through social media channels, blogs, social influencers, community engagement and activations, digital marketing tools and paid social media advertising campaigns. The SMM will be required to work on multiple accounts by maintaining creative strategy, content and engagement. This person is not just passionate about everything social media, but they are passionate about helping people to achieve their goals. At Olive, we know that our results are a means to achieving clients’ results and that’s where we focus our energy. We require SMMs to have superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities and daily tasks include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop, present, and execute campaign strategy with creative content.
  • Write and edit social media messaging and other forms of digital content.
  • Schedule content and lead live content execution.
  • Engage on client channels on a daily basis.
  • Monitor client channels, trends and community engagement.
  • Develop and execute hard hitting social media advertising campaigns.
  • Identify industry related topics, social influencers and digital trends.
  • Analyze data and provide solutions and creative ideas to continuously raise social awareness.
  • Lead and deliver a robust social media marketing campaign for Olive.
  • Create e-newsletters and blog content.
  • Update web content including publishing blogs and adding content to the Olive website.
  • Facilitate off-site client activities including photo/video shoots, events and meetings.
Preferred experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in communications, journalism, marketing or related field
  • Minimum of two years agency experience
  • Experience leading organic and paid social media campaigns
  • Experience with utilizing Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat and other social media channels for business purposes
  • Successful portfolio of strategic social media campaigns

Account Executive

We are currently looking for the next PR powerhouse who can produce powerful results. The
ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in PR, communications, marketing or journalism and
has at least three years of post-college, full-time professional PR experience (agency required).
The ideal candidate is a natural storyteller and opportunist who thrives on staying on the cutting
edge of pop culture and innovation.

Responsibilities and daily tasks include, but are not limited to:
  • Analyze data, market research and trends to develop strategic media relations
    campaigns that get results.
  • Monitor industry news to seek creative opportunities for each account.
  • Develop, write and pitch story ideas, press releases, partnership announcements and
    breaking news to key media contacts while securing high volume and quality coverage.
  • Create and develop press kits, PR timelines, bios, fact sheets, media alerts, press
    releases, etc.
  • Communicate effectively with clients on a daily basis and manage/facilitate all weekly
    calls and meetings with clients.
  • Advise and manage support team on daily responsibilities such as clipping, writing,
    administrative tasks, reporting and media list creation.
  • Able to format, develop, write and successfully pitch press materials including bios,
    backgrounders, fact sheets, media advisories and press releases.
  • Strong knowledge of editorial calendars, lead times, current trends and news to
    schedule pitches and outreach appropriately.
  • Familiarity with pitching op-eds for thought leadership profiles.
  • Identify and assist with idea generation for client partnerships, CSR and events.
  • Pitch, secure and attend desksides, tradeshows and events (when needed).
  • Facilitate all media opportunities and join phone and/or in-person interviews.


Account Coordinator

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in PR, communications, marketing or journalism and has had at least two agency internships or has held a position as an account coordinator. The ideal candidate is a natural storyteller and opportunist who thrives on staying on the cutting edge of pop culture and innovation.

Responsibilities and daily tasks include, but are not limited to:
  • Maintain consistent communication with account teams.
  • Support Account Executive (AE) with meeting preparation.
  • Maintain organization for all accounts they are assigned to.
  • Assist with pitching to media.
  • Research editorial calendars and prepare media distribution lists.
  • Research media for client opportunities.
  • Monitor and clip media coverage as well as report results to team.
  • Organize and prepare client reports.
  • Track awards and other opportunities for clients.
  • Research influencers.
  • Prepare first drafts of press releases or pitches.
  • Prepare and submit all calendar listings.
  • Participate in company brainstorming sessions for all accounts.
  • Provide support wherever it’s needed.
